About

I am originally from Gröbenzell, a small town right on the edge of Munich, Germany. There, at TU Munich, I completed both my BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics. My minor subjects were in engineering (Electrical Engineering and Autonomous Driving, respectively). I started my PhD in Statistics at Heriot-Watt University in September 2021.

It has always been important to me to know about the real-world applications of the mathematics that I am working with. If it’s an application from the engineering world, I am all the happier. Ever since my internships at an electrical engineering company and with a camera manufacturer, electronics and image science have been especially interesting to me.
